Jakarta, June 19, 2026: The Doctoral Program in Economics (PDIE) at Trisakti University held another dissertation defense on Friday, June 19, 2026. The closed-door defense focused on research in Islamic Economics and Finance, with the dissertation “The Blessing of Human Resources,” focusing on the blessings and quality of human resources that are the primary drivers of the Islamic financial industry.

The dissertation defense took place from 08.00 to 09.00 WIB with the presence of a team of examiners consisting of academics and experts in Islamic economics. Acting as Chair of the Defense was Prof. Dr. Yolanda Masnita Siagian, CIRR, CMA, CPM. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Tatik Mariyanti, M.Si was present as Promoter and Dr. Syofriza Syofyan, ME as Co-Promoter. The other examiners were Dr. Husna Leila Yusran, MM, CMA, CPMA and Dr. Nirdukita Ratnawati, ME. The defense process was documented by Dr. Mona as the notary.

This research, adopting the Tawhidi String Relation (TSR) approach, is considered relevant to the development of the Islamic banking industry, which is currently required not only to meet regulatory compliance but also to promote spiritual values ​​and blessings in human resource management. The TSR concept itself emphasizes the integration of monotheistic values ​​into economic and organizational activities as a foundation for sustainable prosperity.

This research is expected to generate academic and practical contributions that can strengthen the implementation of Sharia principles in the national banking industry. Furthermore, the results are expected to serve as a reference for developing human resource management policies and practices that are more oriented toward Islamic values ​​and sustainability.

The holding of this dissertation defense is part of Trisakti University’s commitment to producing doctoral graduates who are able to make real contributions to the development of science, especially in the field of Islamic economics and finance, which continues to develop at the national and global levels.
