History

Trisakti University is the first private university in Indonesia to successfully organize PDIE Trisakti University which was established in 2000 with the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education number: 202/DIKTI/Kep/2000. Currently, PDIE has 9 concentrations, namely Sustainable Development Management, Service Management, Islamic Economic Finance, Accounting Science, Strategic Management, Public Policy, Finance, Human Resources, and Marketing.

Since its establishment, PDIE Trisakti University has set a Vision “Making PDIE Faculty of Economics and Business Trisakti University leading and international standard in doctoral education and research while still paying attention to local values in developing science, especially related to the 9 fields to improve the quality of life and civilization of the nation as well as Indonesia’s global competitiveness. Of course, this vision seems very ambitious, but this forces us as PDIE organizers to make every effort to realize this vision. Our vision is not only very relevant but also very necessary to face current global conditions, especially in the economy, trade and technology.

This is one of the serious challenges currently facing Indonesia, and it is the duty and obligation of every university, including Trisakti University, to strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness, particularly in human resource development. Therefore, PDIE aims not only to produce human resources with high intellectual and professional abilities that meet international standards, but also to develop the capabilities of students and graduates in conducting scientific research in the fields of economics, particularly sustainable development economics, services, accounting, and Sharia. To this end, PDIE has designed a curriculum to train students in developing rigorous research knowledge and skills. Good research skills include mastery of relevant material or theory, research methodology, and skills in disseminating research results. These characteristics are reflected in the results of teaching and learning activities.
