Dr. H. Mukhamad Misbakhun, S.E., M.H., born in Pasuruan on July 29, 1970, is an Indonesian politician and businessman with a strong educational background—starting from a Diploma III in Taxation at STAN (1992), a Bachelor of Economics from Trisakti University (2003), a Master of Business Law from Gadjah Mada University (2008–2015), to a Doctorate in Economics (Public Policy) cum laude from Trisakti University (2024). His career began as a civil servant at the Directorate General of Taxes (1990–2005), before turning to entrepreneurship and establishing a seaweed processing company, PT Agar Sehat Makmur Lestari (2005–2009). He is known to be a vocal initiator of the Bank Century inquiry and a guardian of important legislation such as the Tax Amnesty Law and his support for economic recovery from the pandemic; and active in Golkar’s internal organizations, including SOKSI, where he currently serves as General Chair of Depinas (2025–2030).
