In his research, Ari Susanto raises the important issue of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI)’s business development strategy in maintaining sustainable asset growth. The research combines two analytical approaches: System Dynamics to model the dynamic relationships between variables that influence asset growth, and Analytic Network Process (ANP) to determine strategic priorities based on the interrelationships of various factors that influence decision-making.

This approach is considered to provide a comprehensive perspective in developing Islamic banking business strategies amidst global economic challenges, digital technology developments, and increasing competition in the financial services industry. Through the developed model, this research is expected to serve as a reference for BSI management and the Islamic banking industry in formulating policies oriented towards long-term growth and sustainability.

During the hearing, the examiners provided various constructive input regarding strengthening the conceptual model, validating the methodology, and the practical implications of the research findings. The evolving academic discussion demonstrated the research’s high relevance to the development of strategic management and Islamic economics in Indonesia.

Ari Susanto’s research is expected to not only enrich the scientific literature on Islamic banking business strategies, but also provide a real contribution to policy makers, Islamic finance industry practitioners, and academics in designing adaptive, innovative, and sustainable asset growth strategies.
